Hévíz:

• Thermal Lake: We do doubt that there is anyone who hasn't heard of the lake, which is also called "the lake with magicalhealing power". It is the largest, biologically active hot water lake of the world having a thick layer of medical mud on its bottom. Enjoy the healing effect and the caressing of the water throughout the whole year. Opening times: it depends on the season, ask the reception for more information.
• Organ concerts: Mr Zoltán Kollonay is performing on every Wednesday, from 19.00 in the Lutheran Reform Church of Hévíz.

Keszthely:

• Festetics Mansion : The Baroque Mansion of breathtaking beauty is the third largest mansion, a true noble building.

• Doll museum - panoptikum & snail parliament : the folklore/historical excibition presents 40 wax figures of famous Hungarian personalities, next door the parliament made of snails is the biggest of its kind in Hungary.

Kis-Balaton - Zalakomár - buffalo nature reserve in Kápolnapuszta:

• going boating under the ground? Why not? You can experience this unique activity in the grotto of Tapolca.

• The castle from the 13. century stands on a 270-metre high hill and there is still a lot going on within its walls: historical knight-plays, medieval feasts, museums show the Hungarian way of life of the medieval ages.

Balatonederics:

• You don't need to follow the swallows to their winter home in order to experience the touch of Africa. A visit to the Africa Museum - in fact a marvellous hunting and ethnographic collection and park- will do. One of the greatest hunters of Hungary converted his family residence in order to show the visitors all the magic of Africa he had experienced.

Badacsony:

• This hill - together with its basalt formations and vineyards - comprises past, present and also future. Combine a boat trip with a visit to Badacsony, visit the Kisfaludy house, the wine-press house of Róza Szegedy and the Bujdosók Lépcsője "strairs of the refugees" and you will have an unforgettable day.

Herend:

• The city of Herend, which is well-known due to her china producing manufactory is located 80km from Hévíz. The visitors of her museum will receive first-hand insider information about the history of the 175-year old factory.
